How can I print a W2 for an employee with two employee records?

The employee records must be combined.

  1. Make one employee record Inactive
  2. Change the social security number on the inactive record to XXXXX1
  3. Enter a beginning balance adjustment for 12/31/01 to zero out the YTD earnings for the inactive record
  4. Enter a beginning balance adjustment for 12/31/01 to show the total of both employee records on the active record
Print a new Yearly Earnings report to verify the balances for the inactive employee record is 0.00 for the YTD total and correct for the YTD total on the active employee record
