How can I
print a W2 for an employee with two employee records?
The
employee records must be combined.
- Make
one employee record Inactive
- Change
the social security number on the inactive record to XXXXX1
- Enter
a beginning balance adjustment for 12/31/01 to zero out the YTD earnings for
the inactive record
- Enter
a beginning balance adjustment for 12/31/01 to show the total of both
employee records on the active record
Print
a new Yearly
Earnings report to verify the balances for the inactive employee record is 0.00
for the YTD total and correct for the YTD total on the active employee record
