How do you fix the “Lock Handle Full” error message when you Refresh a Crystal report?

If you created sub reports in the custom report, Crystal sends the error message that “lock handle full” because of the manner in which Crystal handles locks.

A lock handle is opened each time a report is opened, including sub reports. If there is more than one sub report, Crystal will generate the error in the main report because the lock handle for the sub report is not released until the entire report is built.

You can avoid this error by increasing the handles in the registry to 10000.
